Player guide

Challenge an online player with a kit:

/duel <player> <kit> [--rounds <count>] [--map <arena|random>]

For example:

/duel Alex classic --rounds 3 --map random

--rounds is the number of rounds a team must win; it defaults to 1. --map defaults to random. A named arena must be allowed by the selected kit’s maps setting. The other player accepts or declines using the challenger’s name:

/duel accept <challenger>
/duel decline <challenger>

Players are returned to the configured lobby after the match. Solar saves and restores their match state, including inventory, and updates wins and losses for the kit.

A player’s death eliminates them from the current round. If they leave the server during a match and that leaves only one team, Solar ends the match as a forfeit.

Create a party, invite players, and accept or decline an invitation by naming its sender:

/party create
/party invite <player>
/party accept <inviter>
/party deny <inviter>

An invite also creates a party for the inviter if they do not have one. The owner can manage it with:

/party info
/party kick <player>
/party transfer <player>
/party disband

Members can use /party leave. If the owner leaves or disconnects, the party is disbanded. Parties are held in memory and do not persist across server restarts. Invite lifetime is controlled by party-invite-expire-time in config.yml.

Start a party match as its owner:

/party start <kit> <split|ffa> [--rounds <count>]
  • split shuffles members into two teams.
  • ffa puts each member on their own team.
  • At least two party members are required. The match uses a random arena allowed by the kit.
  • A party match cannot start while any member is queued or editing a kit.

With solar.party.broadcast, the owner can run /party broadcast to send recurring party invitations to online players for a short period.

Join an enabled queue and leave it when you like:

/queue join <queue>
/queue leave <queue>

While queued, Solar shows the queue name and time in the action bar. When enough players are waiting, Solar starts a match using the queue’s kit and team size. See the queue guide for setup and queue options.

Spectate a player who is currently in a match, then leave spectator mode:

/spectate <player>
/spectate leave <player>

Both commands take a player in the match as their argument. Leaving spectator mode returns you to the configured lobby.

/ping shows your ping; /ping <player> shows another online player’s ping.
