Kits

Solar has a server-defined base kit and per-player saved layouts for that kit.

  1. Create an ID:

    /kit create <id>
  2. Arrange the inventory and armor you want in the base kit, then copy them into the kit:

    /kit set-items <id>

This copies your storage inventory, armor, and offhand. To set the kit’s potion effects, first apply the desired effects to yourself and run:

    /kit set-effects <id>
  3. Configure the kit flags, then save the base kit:

    /kit set-flags <id> --maps *
    /kit finalize <id>

The kit is written to kits.yml when finalized. Run set-items, set-effects, or set-flags again after changing the base kit, then finalize to persist the changes.

/kit set-flags <id> accepts:

Flag Purpose Default
--max-health Match max health 20
--natural-regeneration Allow natural health regeneration true
--natural-saturation Allow natural saturation true
--hunger-loss Allow hunger loss true
--pearl-cooldown Ender pearl cooldown in seconds; -1 means unset -1
--golden-apple-cooldown Golden apple cooldown in seconds; -1 means unset -1
--windcharge-cooldown Wind charge cooldown in seconds; -1 means unset -1
--prevent-block-place Prevent block placement in the match false
--prevent-block-break Prevent block breaking in the match false
--prevent-item-drop Prevent item drops in the match false
--prevent-movement-before-start Lock movement before the match starts false
--maps Comma-separated allowed arenas, or * for all *

Omitted options use the command defaults, replacing any previous flag values. Pass --maps explicitly; kit records default to *, but the command expects a maps value.

Example:

/kit set-flags classic --max-health 20 --natural-regeneration true --natural-saturation true --hunger-loss false --pearl-cooldown 10 --golden-apple-cooldown -1 --windcharge-cooldown -1 --prevent-block-place true --prevent-block-break true --prevent-item-drop true --prevent-movement-before-start true --maps arena1,arena2

Players with solar.kit.edit can save a personal inventory layout:

  1. /kit edit <id> opens the selected kit in the configured editor location and saves the player’s current inventory for restoration.
  2. Arrange the layout, then run /kit save <id> to save it to Solar’s database and return to the lobby.
  3. Run /kit reset <id> to abandon the current edit and restore the inventory from before editing. This does not erase the saved layout.

/kit give <id> <player> applies the kit to a target player, using that player’s layout when available and otherwise the base kit.
